Boats & Gear we Use
Dagger Europe, makers of great white water kayaks, of which our MD Simon Westgarth has had a hand in testing.
Pyranha, another great producer of great white water kayaks, which Gene17 always has a range of their current designs.
Palm Equipment, Europe’s leading gear manufacturer, developing great products of which our MD is again part of their testing and development. We always have test gear from Palm on the trips.
Sweet Protection, makers of iconic helmets for paddling, skiing and now biking. We of course all use them and have test helmets on the trips for our paddlers.
Werner Paddles, the global paddle brand, used by most paddlers, because they are great, reliable and wonderful to use. Gene17 has a full line up of Werner Paddles on the trips for paddlers to use.
Zet Kayaks, a small kayaking company from the Czech Republic, who brought us the fast Raptor, which our Jakub Sedivy loves to paddle.

Places we Recommend
River Dart Country Park, our home from home, venue for two of our events, the Adventure Paddler’s Weekend and the River’s Source. A good range of accommodation, good food and a bar at the take out, Devonshire quality.
il Gatto e la Volpe, paradise island on the Sesia, great great food, perfect atmosphere and wonderful times, also home to the Valsesia River Festival.
Hisa Franko, amazing food in a Slovenian tradition, a wonderful setting too, right in the middle of the Julian Alps.
When in North Devon we like to stay at the Thatch Pub, in Croyde, with its excellent food and great beers to enjoy, and a great north coast surf break is but a moment away.
